One thing I don't think was clarified (unless I missed it... which is certainly possible!) is whether Ellen indicated if the Oseberg ship is going to be reassembled as per the revised theories of its correct configuration when put on display in the new museum?
My favourite topic... and with visuals! I too have a Viking ship 'crush' with Gokstad as my favourite (certainly by all appearances, from its remains, the most sea-worthy design.)
Yes! The Gokstad is beautiful. The most reproduced of these three ships. Though Ellen did mention that the Oseberg has also now been recreated and sailed, so its design is seaworthy too!

Hi Kerry,
Here is Ellen's reply regarding how the Oseberg will be reassembled and exhibited in the new space:
"The ships will stay as they are, to do any changes could harm them and the most important is the safeguarding of the ships."
